As part of our agreement, Niagara College`s goal is to build on and strengthen Brock`s history of community collaboration in the Niagara Region and beyond. Community engagement will support each of Brock`s strategic goals and improve the life and vitality of our region and beyond. Niagara College`s AMS filing includes our key priority objectives as well as our goals for the next three years. It aligns our strategic plan with the province`s objectives and identifies the quorum`s current strengths and vision, mission and mandate. It also describes our history of supporting the unique needs of Niagara`s economy by demonstrating entrepreneurship and innovation in our thinking, forging strong connections with industry, and offering tailored academic programs that support Niagara`s key industries. Strategic Mandate Agreements are an important part of the provincial government`s policy framework for differentiation for postsecondary education, which aims to transform postsecondary education in Ontario by focusing on and building on the individual strengths of the province`s colleges and universities. Brock`s strategic plan highlights our shared vision, mission, values and priorities that will guide Brock into 2025. Implementing these strategic priorities will advance Brock as a comprehensive university that offers a transformative and accessible academic and academic experience. promotes a culture of inclusion, accessibility, reconciliation and decolonization; improves the life and vitality of our region and beyond; and further expands the university`s research capabilities. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced post-secondary institutions to move from many programs to a virtual model, which has had a strong impact on the Niagara Region given the presence of Niagara College and Brock University.
While some aspects of the post-secondary experience have remained personal, declining enrolment and the ability to stay virtually at home during college have led to a significant decline in the number of post-secondary students living in Niagara. With this in mind, the purpose of the paper is to present data that identifies the subsequent economic effect through the lens of post-secondary education in Niagara. Home About NC Administration and Governance Plans and Reports Strategic Mandate Agreement Brock`s ADM submission to the Department of Advanced Skills and Education reaffirmed the university`s commitment to 21st century student and transdisciplinary research. It also highlights its commitment to building community partnerships that drive social and economic development through innovation. The President of Brock University asked a group of community leaders to assess the university`s community engagement and develop recommendations on how it can scale up its future efforts to have even greater social, economic and environmental impacts on surrounding communities. The report describes the recommendations of the Task Force. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on all Canadians, but new research shows how racialized and marginalized communities are disproportionately affected. This groundbreaking research project was led by co-investigators Gervan Fearon, President of Brock University, and Walid Hejazi, Associate Professor of Economic Analysis and Policy at the University of Toronto, in collaboration with the Canadian Arab Institute.
